This is a complete scam. These knives are marketed extremely well towards people who are not Knife Makers or Chefs who know their stuff (I’ll start by admitting that I am one of those people, and I fell for this too. Then after doing research I felt it necessary to rely the information I found to others who might make the same mistake).

After less than a year of use this poorly made knife snapped right in half while trying to cut a turnip in half (mind you this is a Korean turnip). Good thing I use knife safety or I would have easily slit a thumb or my wrist.
Do not buy this poorly made product, it is a safety hazard.

First we were charmed by these knives. Very colorful and sharp. But after two weeks of pretty moderate use we’ve got rusty chipped blades. It says Titanium and stainless steel, anodized , I don’t believe it is either one.
I have posted pictures of those rusty blades, so you can go check out yourself.
We’re returning these.

From all the great reviews here, I was sure the knives were going to be amazing. I was looking for a set of steak knives with a great handle/feel and weight and I thought these were it at a great price. But NO! The one function the steak knives should be great at, cutting the steak; worse than the cheapest knife I have ever used.

I just bought this set based on the good customer reviews. I attempted to cut a pineapple today with the largest knife and the handle literally snapped off while making the first cut. This was also the first time I even used this particular knife.

The knives are good quality but I hate their inflated pricing scam . You can buy these for less than $200 , all over facebook and other dash deals.
Just a note that even though they mention japan all over theor website, these are made in China.
All in all they are definitely worth the $150 to $250 price range .

After about 3 months of using this product, it started unevenly cutting the lids off cans and creating tiny shards of metal that have ended up in my food and cutting my fingers. This is the complete opposite of safety can opener, and it should be recalled. My family has been put at risk of eating tiny shards of metal.

Looks to be good marketing of an over priced product. Having been unable to find what type of steel is used, or even what general category (stainless or high carbon) the steel falls into, and the plethora of words that actually say very little about the knife itself in the companies marketing, I will not be buying any Kamikoto knives.

Beautiful knives, extremely sharp. The issue is the chefs knife is honed incorrectly leaving a space between the blade and cutting board. This means it will not finely mince an herb or other like situation. I informed the seller and was told they had no replacements available and would prefer if I did not write a negative review.

I really wanted to like these. The product has high reviews and I loved the color of the blades! Out of the box, the knives were okay. They were sharp, but the handles felt flimsy and cheap. They cut food fine. The knives claimed to be dishwasher safe, so I did place them on the top rack during normal cycles.

Loved it when I bought it but. . .
After under two months of ownership the blade has cracked. I don’t know how it happened per se. the last time I used it was to chop up a slab of bacon. I rinsed it, threw a little oil on it as you do and put it into the sheath. Went to use this morning and it has a crack and separation.
